The Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club (ÖAMTC) is Austria’s largest mobility club and represents the interests of over two million members. Protecting the rights of consumers: women, car drivers, other mobiles and travellers is particularly important for ÖAMTC and can bring a lot of practical experience to club lawyers through legal advice.

ASECAP feedback to the revised text for the Cross-border Directive (Directive (EU) 2015/413 ASECAP welcomes the possibility to comment on the proposal of revision of the Directive (EU) 2015/413. ASECAP congratulates all the extensive work already done regarding this text which will certainly make the European legal framework stronger, uniform and respectful for the guiding principles of a common policy.
FIVA shares the objective of improving road safety in the EU. FIVA is especially interested in this proposal because many of its activities and events imply cross-border travelling. We are convinced that European motoring heritage deserves to be shown across the entire continent and this is why we need EU-wide rules to ensure the EU right to mobility.

Kistler develops and provides not only measuring systems for weighing vehicles in running traffic (Weigh in Motion), but also speed monitoring systems. These systems increase road safety worldwide and protect infrastructure first and foremost. EU Directive 2015/719 defines, inter alia, maximum axle loads and total weights for heavy goods vehicles and calls on Member States to carry out weight checks.

FEMA welcomes the proposals for the revised cross-border enforcement Directive (EU) 2015/413. We also support the addition of several traffic offences that are related to road safety. The enhanced possibly to be prosecuted or fined after a traffic rule violation will probably lead to less traffic offences. This could in general lead to more road safety.
EAC comprising currently six member clubs from Austria, Germany, Slovakia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina representing above 2.5 million road users endorses the European Commission’s initiative to revise the current Cross-Border Enforcement Directive aiming at improving its effectiveness and efficiency.

The City of Antwerp appreciates the initiative of the European Commission to improve the procedures for fining violations under the Cross-Border Enforcement (CBE) directive. The fair and equal treatment of offenders is crucial to make an enforcement system credible.
The French Association of French Territorial Engineers (AITF), which brings together 4500 French administrative engineers, considers that offences relating to parking that are embarrassing and very inconvenient, in particular because they have an impact on the mobility of the most vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, people with disabilities, etc.), are a recurring problem and an important offence in terms…

Implementation on 1 January 2018, the reform of road parking which paid on roads, thus decentralised and decriminalised, gave local authorities new tools at the service of their mobility and parking policies, aimed at reducing car traffic and thus improving road safety. Reforms to decentralise and decriminalise road parking had already been introduced in several Member States.

NORPARK, the Norwegian Parking Association, whose members are primarily composed of local governents (municipalities) that oversee and enforce public parking regulation, and private companies that oversee and enforce private parking regulation in accordance with national acts/regulations, echo the sentiment expressed by POLIS (Belgium).

Polis, the network of cities and regions for transport innovation, welcomes the revision of the Cross-Border Enforcement Directive. We are convinced that fair and efficient enforcement of traffic penalties is crucial to save lifes and to create opportunity for a more sustainable modal choice and use of vehicles.
Hello With the driver card in participating countries, the identification is clear. This should allow for the enforcement of offences in cross-border road transport. The attached summary of our member organisations from Switzerland summarises our opinion very well.
