Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) and its subsidiary Veridos GmbH generally welcome the proposed Implementing Regulation and supports the establishment of a common European framework for mobile driving licences. In particular, we welcome the focus on interoperability and trustworthiness.

At Odifis, we think mobile driving licences and the EUDI Wallet are a genuinely positive direction for the sector, and we have acted on that belief. We are developing PASS2RENT, a pre-launch platform for small and medium-sized car-rental agencies, and have built our own EUDI Wallet mDL verifier for it. It supports PID in SD-JWT VC format and mDL in ISO/IEC 18013-5 mdoc format over OpenID4VP 1.0 Final with DCQL.
Confebus takes note of the European Commission’s proposal for an implementing regulation for the development of a mobile driving licence at European level, and considers it a significant step towards more digital, efficient, safe and interoperable mobility across the European Union.
