The EPMFs Key Asks for the Circular Economy Act 1. Create a strong and efficient European single market for waste 2. Ensure consistency between the EUs circular, climate, and chemical objectives 3. Prioritise harmonisation for waste rules and turn the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) into a regulation 4.

We welcome the Commissions initiative to boost the EUs industrial capacity all while accelerating decarbonisation under the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA). Measures that speed-up the deployment of projects and improve public procurement are essential for European industry. We support the IAAs overall objectives, including the ambition to increase the contribution of European manufacturing to 20% of the Unions GDP.

The EPMF welcomes the Commissions initiative to amend the technical screening criteria (TSC) and enhance the clarity and practical usability of the EU Taxonomy. Constructive dialogue with industry remains essential to ensuring a fit-for-purpose framework that applies proportionate rules while supporting meaningful progress toward the green transition and the EU Circular Economy.

The European Precious Metals Federation (EPMF) supports the European Commissions Environmental Omnibus as a step toward simplifying and harmonising EU environmental legislation, while maintaining high environmental standards.

Advanced materials are hailed as key components driving innovation and sustainability within the EU economy. This makes them essential for the EUs strategic autonomy, global competitiveness, and green and digital transition objectives. The potential of these materials, however, cannot be achieved without securing the supply of upstream raw materials like precious metals.

The EPMF welcomes the Commissions initiative to lay down a Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) Implementing Regulation listing components, products and waste streams with high critical raw material (CRM) recovery potential.
