ERRIN welcomes the Industrial Accelerator Act as an important step towards strengthening Europes industrial competitiveness, resilience and decarbonisation. The proposed framework rightly seeks to accelerate industrial deployment, reduce strategic dependencies, support manufacturing capacity and create lead markets for clean industrial products and technologies.

ERRIN welcomes the initiative to strengthen the innovation dimension of the EU research and innovation policy through the Innovation Act. Following the New European Innovation Agenda, to which ERRIN actively contributed to highlighting key areas that the agenda should tackle such as supporting innovation ecosystems, tackling innovation divide, addressing access to finance and enhancing policy innovation.

ERRIN's Blue Economy Working Group submits that water resilience cannot be achieved without recognising local and regional authorities as delivery partners. As managers of spatial planning, water utilities, agriculture and civil protection, they are closest to citizens and to the water-land nexus in practice, and are able to foster the implementation of place-based innovative solutions.
