UNIFAB warmly welcomes this combined evaluation roadmap / inception impact assessment. We fully agree with the EU commission when it states that “the rapid and widespread development of digital services has been at the heart of the digital transformation”. Unfortunately, this development has also had negative effects such as the increase of online sales of counterfeits and other illegal goods.
Unifab (Union des Fabricants) is the French association for the promotion and defense of intellectual property (IP) rights. Founded in 1872 by a group of pharmacists, it is now composed of approximatively 200 member companies and professional federations from all sizes and all sectors of activity thus representing an annual turnover of 1450 billion euros.
