We therefore welcome Europe’s mission to achieve circularity in 2050 and to become global leader in circular economy by 2030, as presented in the Clean Industrial Deal. Current developments however, show a different trend.

The province of Zuid-Holland appreciates the initiative taken by the Commission to create a common EU scheme for rating the sustainability of data centres. Seeing that their energy demand and natural resources demand is extraordinarily high, it is vital to have a framework that guides development towards more sustainable datacentres. Even more so because energy-efficiency is gaining urgency every day.
The Dutch provinces welcome the European Commissions efforts to further strengthen the performance of the EU budget, in partnership with Member States and regions. We share the ambition to make the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) more modern, effective and responsive.
