The European Confederation of Agricultural, Rural and Forestry Contractors CEETTAR - represents the interests of land-based contractors in Europe. Late payments are mostly frequent in the forestry sector, where contractors depend upon customers, entitled with a large bargaining power (such as governmental bodies or large companies).
Opinion of Zweirad-Industrie-Verband e.V. on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on combating late payment in commercial transactions. As an interbranch organisation, the ZIV brings together and represents the interests of around 120 member companies. 90 % of bicycles and e-bikes produced in Germany in 2022 come from ZIV member companies.

CEETTAR welcomes the Commission objective to align the machinery directive with some new possibilities concerning Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things. In order to ensure consistency within EU legislation, CEETTAR is in favour of an alignment between The Machinery Directive and the ‘new legislative framework’.
The Zweirad Industry Association (ZIV) represses the German and international bicycle industry in Germany. Our members are manufacturers and importers of bicycles, EPACs, bike components and accessories. The ZIV fully supports the position of CONEBI which is described in the attached paper.
