Please see the attached feedback from Airlines for America (A4A). Note that our comment letter addresses the updated provisions for aviation under the EU Emissions Trading System as well as ReFuelEU Aviation and the amendment of the Renewable Energy Directive (i.e., RED III).
Airlines for America (A4A), on behalf of its members, welcomes the opportunity to respond to the European Commission’s call for evidence on the need to prolong slot relief beyond summer season 2022. The data suggests that while domestic travel is rebounding in the United States and other domestic markets, international travel is recovering at a slower pace and remains far below pre-pandemic levels.
