• Article 5 As regards energy efficiency objectives in the public sector, Sweden’s general benefit is that more incentives must be given for profitable energy efficiency improvements and voluntary initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce climate emissions. Since 2018 Sweden’s public benefit has been running the so-called climate initiative, which covers a larger share of utilities.

Public Housing Sweden shares the Commission's view that energy use needs to be reduced in order, among other things, to reduce CO2 emissions and make EU less dependent on imported energy.

We represent more than 900 000 apartments and over 300 companies in Sweden. Public Housing Sweden welcomes the revision of the Construction Products Regulation, where information on construction products will be expanded with information on the environment, health and safety.

Our purpose with this answer is to give input to the strengthening of the climate delegated act from a perspective of mitigating climate change and decarbonising the building stock both from a perspective of embodied carbon and operational carbon.
