What they argued

Right to Stay Strategy: Your Region, Your Futurefiled 2 Jun 2026PDFsource

Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to the public consultation on the Right to Stay Strategy: Your Region, Your Future. The Irish Farmers Association (IFA) is Irelands largest farming organisation. For rural Ireland, the right to stay means ensuring that farming families and rural communities can continue to live, work and build sustainable futures in the areas where they were born and raised.

Guidance on the application of the ‘do no significant harm’ principle under the 2028-2034 MFFfiled 1 Apr 2026PDFsource

The Irish Farmers Association rejects the planned introduction of the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle for agricultural interventions. The agricultural sector, already governed by the CAP Common Agricultural Policy should be totally excluded from the application of the DNSH. Unlike other sectors, agriculture is deeply intertwined with natural resources and ecosystems.
