Actual pay discrimination between men and women is unacceptable – and already prohibited by existing EU and national legislation. In the general discussion, pay differences between men and women are however often mistaken with pay discrimination.

Ceemet response to the European Commission feedback on an adopted act amending Directive 2009/148/EC on Asbestos Ceemet welcomes the initiative of the European Commission, released on 28 September 2022, as it proposes an occupational exposure limit value (OEL) of 0.01 fibres/cm³ which was the proposal of both governments and employers in the Advisory Committee on Safety and Health.
