In relation to the effects of climate change in large metropolitan areas, particularly in regions such as the Po Valley in Italy, it is appropriate to consider forms of temporary relocation of populations (especially the most vulnerable, such as the elderly, children, and people with respiratory diseases) or even assisted vertical migration to mountain areas with better climatic and temperature conditions.
