This to enable environmentally optimized open water merchant fleets to be able to operate in the ice clad waters of the Baltic Sea also during winter time. Eg. sustaining mobility for minerals, clean energy and green technology industries etc of the EU north.

A) We concur to the fact that the split responsibility into different ministries and agencies makes it problematic to get a good overview of the different needs and planned activities, and that more oceanographic parameters could be collected at the same time during survey campaigns.
