Amendment of the Toy Safety Directive - Lilial, BPA, phenol and BITfiled 15 Oct 2026source

Bisphenol A 0.005 mg/l (migration limit) – our request: Setting a limit at LOQ level is questionable as it leads to regulatory uncertainty. ECHA recommends using only test methods for which the LOQ value is 0.3 cut-off value. Setting a limit at the LOQ level may cause problems of uncertainty of results. Therefore, the limit value for BPA should be set at a maximum of 0,015 mg/l.
