In my position of a chair of a large patients organization of people living with diabetes, I consider of huge importance that health institutions in Europe make all efforts and necessary moves to diminish the significant burden of cardiovascular disease. Moreover, CVD is the most common late complications condition for people with diabetes and very often the cause of prematured deaths.
