Council Regulation (EC) No 530/1999 requires national authorities and Eurostat to produce harmonized Community statistics on labor costs and earnings structure. Labor cost statistics cover calendar year 2000 and every four years thereafter; earnings structure statistics cover 2002 and every four years thereafter. Results go to Eurostat within 18 months of the reference year's end.
