European Year of Youth 2022

EDC-Free Europe is a coalition of public interest groups representing more than 70 environmental, health, women's and consumer groups across Europe who share a concern about hormone disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and their impact on our health and wildlife.

In response to the European Commission proposal on the European Year of Youth 2022, the European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association is favorable and excited about President Ursula von der Leyen’s decision to designate 2022 as the European Year of youth. Skills The Youth sector is formed of students from various educational backgrounds, evolving into tomorrow’s EU workforce.

The Phiren Amenca welcomes the following efforts of the European Commission, clearly stated in the draft document for: • Putting a focus on young people with fewer opportunities, from disadvantaged backgrounds or belonging to vulnerable groups, to become active and engaged citizens as well as actors of change, inspired by a European sense of belonging.

The European Network of Social Integration Enterprises (ENSIE) represents the interests of national and regional networks of ‘Work Integration Social Enterprises’ (WISEs) striving for more inclusive and integrated forms of employment at the European level for, among others, young people and NEETs.

The Roma Secretariado Foundation is a state-level social and intercultural NGO that has been working for almost 40 years on equal rights and social inclusion of Roma in Spain and Europe, providing services to Roma, fighting discrimination and advocating more inclusive public policies to improve the social image of Roma, carry out awareness-raising campaigns, etc.

Hello, the text mentions many times "inclusion" or "diversity" and states that only those approaches can be promoted for youth development : this is wrong as a policy. Those words are trapped by extreme left concepts & agenda wich aim at destroying nations & creating a meltingpot without any culture but consumption & US way of life.

• We welcome that the proposal clearly mentions the EU Roma Strategic in the Explanatory Memorandum, though not in the Decision itself. We regret that young Roma are otherwise not mentioned anywhere in the text, nor are ethnic minorities a key priority group. This is a missed opportunity, as 80% of Roma live below the poverty line, while two-thirds of them are under 30.

The French Red Cross (CRF) welcomes the European Commission’s decision to make 2 022 the European Year of Youth, a topic on which our association is strongly committed and will continue to mobilise in the coming months and years.

We welcome the fact that 2022 will be dedicated to European youth and see it as an opportunity to create tools at local, regional and European level to ensure consistent and sustainable youth participation at all levels. 1. Financing the initiatives of the European Year of Youth from the budget of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps is illogical. The budget of those programs was recently increased to give more opportunities for youth, and now, to celebrate the European Year of Youth, you will take the money out of the programs to fund "extra" initiatives.

They should further speed up the payment processes for approved projects, both 80 % and, in particular, the remaining 20 %, as these delays often cause financial problems for entities which, due to their size and financial capacity, are unable to cope with the discovery of certain amounts of money for so long, especially when more than one project is in place.
