Polish Society for Health Programs welcomes the review of Eco-design and Energy labelling for cooking appliances, and the inclusion of air pollutant emissions in the scope of the impact assessment. This is a very important issue in Poland, where over 43% of the population uses gas for cooking and is therefore experiencing higher risks of negative health outcomes.

From an environmental perspective, it is necessary to phase out gas cooktops from the market. For this reason, we consider an energy label that’s a comparison of gas and electric cooktops from 2025 to be essential.

The gas stoves being one of the main indoor sources of health harming pollutants, most notably nitrogen dioxide (NO2), this process represents an opportunity to further protect and improve the health of European citizens by setting a clear path to phasing out gas stoves.

Standing by consumption I Wonder if and where this energy is taken into consideration on the analysis. I dont see it in 5.1.2.4 where use-phase is calculated and only energy-for-cooking is considered.
