EuropeanIssuers welcomes the European Commissions proposal further expanding and upgrading the use of digital tools and processes in company law. While fully supporting the strengthening of the BRIS interconnection system and the "once-only" principle, EuropeanIssuers strongly opposes the introduction of new disclosure requirements for companies and the extension of the Directive to partnerships.
The Conseil national des greffiers des tribunaux de commerce (CNGTC) welcomes the European Commission's initiative to improve digital company law, and supports the objectives of modernizing and improving accessibility to company information. Created by law no.
Already in its position paper during the call for evidence, SMEunited stressed that a European harmonisation of digital company law should not reduce what already exists in Member States, should ensure trust-worthy information and lead to a reduction of the administrative burdens. We welcome the principle of one-time registration of companies when establishing branches or a company in another Member State.
The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) is pleased to provide feedback to the proposal for upgrading digital company law with a focus on the (potential) use of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) in the Company Law Directive. Please see the attached document for the full feedback.

Challenges: GISAD welcomes the Commission's initiative to modernise digital company law. The European digital society will be successful if the EU offers a unique selling proposition and a competitive advantage over other economies. The European Commission has several steering options at its disposal, such as tax breaks, subsidies or guarantees, to strengthen a common single market.

To my opinion already the context section contains a major flaw. My experience in technology related project tells me that setting up a project in a dynamic technological environment with the target of reaching 100% in a 9 year timeframe is almost certain to fail. Today nobody knows what will be in 9 years.
Method. Every quote is verbatim from the organization’s own submission to the European Commission, trimmed to its opening passage and never summarized by a model. Where a submission was filed in another EU language we show the English text the European Commission publishes alongside it, labeled on the quote; the original is one click away at the source. Groupings use the respondent type the organization itself selected when filing. We deliberately do not label anyone “supportive” or “opposed” — you read what they wrote and draw your own conclusion. Organizations only, never individuals. Reused under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU; the European Commission is not liable for this reuse.
