The Swedish Construction Federation

The Swedish Construction Federation is an industry and employer organization for construction, civil engineering and specialized companies that want to build Sweden on a foundation of fair principles. We represent approximately 4000 member companies of all sizes. We fully support the EUs climate and environmental ambitions and want to see an active, ambitious climate and environmental agenda at EU level.

The Swedish Construction Federation welcomes the review of the EU taxonomy, noting that current climate and environmental delegated acts are difficult to apply and administratively burdensome for construction companies.

The Swedish Construction Federation supports revising the EU Taxonomy and highlights concrete issues such as recycling targets, rules on emissions testing and material scope, rigid water requirements, and uncertainty around reporting climate impacts. The Federation also stresses that land use criteria are problematic.
