The IAA should anchor strategic value chains in Europe. 1. Prioritise European copper and its value chain. European copper should be recognised as a strategic input, on a par with green steel, with a minimum use threshold of 50% in relevant applications. Copper is essential for electrification. Omitting it weakens the proposal.
