According to research, the lowest dose of lead (current hygienic and biological limits) shows toxic effects and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. There are also clear reproductive disorders for those in contact with lead in working life, as well as an increased risk of cancer. Diisocyanates can be released from many materials. Exposure can lead to allergies, asthma and possibly cancer.

I would like to make the following comments on the proposal for a Directive on minimum rates of pay: I am strongly critical of the Commission’s proposal for a Directive on minimum wages. In Sweden, the social partners are fully independently responsible for wage formation through collective bargaining.
