Summary
GeneratedRegulation (EU) No 236/2012 imposes transparency and restriction rules on short selling and credit default swaps. It applies from 1 November 2012, with certain delegated-act provisions from 25 March 2012. It affects investors, issuers, and competent authorities across the EU. From 10 July 2026, public disclosures must also be submitted to the European single access point.
