FME welcomes the European Commissions proposal for a Chips Act 2.0 and supports renewed efforts to strengthen Europes semiconductor ecosystem. Given the strategic importance of semiconductors for Europes competitiveness, innovation capacity and resilience, it is positive that the proposal places greater emphasis on the demand side and on linking semiconductor policy more closely to industrial deployment.
