As a preliminary remark, TCO would like to point out that the purpose of a 28th corporate regime is understandable, but also raises a number of legal questions and risks from an employee and trade union perspective. Creating a European legal form that makes it easier for companies to operate across borders can boost innovation, investment and growth for start-ups in the Single Market.

TCO welcomes the opportunity to comment on European Commissions forthcoming Citizens Omnibus initiative. TCO is broadly supportive of efforts to make it easier for EU citizens and individuals lawfully residing in Sweden to benefit from the internal market.
The initial position of TCO on the European Commission proposal for a pay transparency directive General remarks • It is of crucial importance that a directive on pay transparency and strengthened enforcement mechanisms is designed in a well-balanced and proportionate way. The directive should not interfere with national labour market models or national systems for pay determination.
On October 28, the European Commission presented its draft directive on adequate minimum wages. The main purpose of the draft directive is to ensure adequate minimum wages and minimum wage protection through law or collective agreement.
