However, the current CBAM framework does not account for this convergence.
Despite growing clarity on system needs, many strategic projects remain delayed due to fragmented planning, legal complexity, and increasingly severe supply chain constraints. The revision of the TEN-E Regulation should therefore pivot from vision to implementation, equipping Member States with the tools and coordination mechanisms to plan, permit, fund, and build more effectively.
As one of Europes leading cross-border transmission system operators (TSO), we welcome the European Commissions initiative to strengthen the resilience of Europes energy system amid growing risks to critical infrastructure.
The four German TSOs including TenneT Germany value ACERs cooperation with TSOs in advancing European electricity markets and recognise the progress achieved through common market rules, methodologies and cross-border cooperation.
