Counts here are a floor, never a total: they cover the 639 consultation files tracked so far (53,766 submissions, mostly 2021–26), so an organization's real filing history is larger, not smaller.
Rijk Zwaan filed 3 positions between 31 Mar 2021 and 5 Nov 2023, across 2 of the 639 legislative files tracked here, attaching a full position paper 1 time.
I would like to thank and support the legislative initiatives on innovation in genetic improvement, and I am in favour of the Commission’s proposal to regulate the breeding of plants produced using new genomic techniques. This contributes to the production of new varieties and improves the sustainability of agri-food production.

Rijk Zwaan is a vegetable breeding company developing new vegetable varieties and selling the seeds produced from them all over the world. We welcome the proposal of the EU commission (EC) for a regulation on plants obtained by NGTs. It is important to create a global level playing field regarding this topic.
Rijk Zwaan appreciates the opportunity to provide feedback and we would like to use this opportunity to express our support for the proposed regulation. Rijk Zwaan is a family-owned vegetable breeding company with its headquarters in the Netherlands. We have around 3500 employees working at 30 subsidiaries in European countries and on other continents.
