Legacoop welcomes the Commission's proposal for a 28th EU corporate regime and supports its ambition to create a uniform legal form at European level. To achieves these objectives, however, two issues require attention. 1. The "Right to Stay Strategy" should recognise the role of key actors such as cooperatives and social economy organisations in territorial and social cohesion, urban and rural regeneration, local development, and the fight against depopulation.
