The Kanta Services are a set of digital services that store citizens' social welfare and health care data and they are a nationwide solution that cover all of Finland.
Kela considers it important that the ESSPASS initiative is closely linked to the structure of the regulations on social security coordination (883/2004 and 987/2009). Within the framework of these Regulations, well-established and statutory decision-making structures are in place to design and adopt the content and format of the current Portable Documents.
