Persons with Down Syndrome and their family travel more and more across the Europe as tourists. Also some families migrate from one EU country to another. Young people with Down Syndrome are involved in ERAMUS+ projects and mobility is part of their life.
The European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA) welcomes the EU Action plan on the protection of children against crime, believing that children need to be protected from being victim and being recruited to crime. This applies, especially, to vulnerable groups, including those who have a disability, like people with down syndrome.
