Eurodiaconia provides access to a European network of churches and Christian NGOs offering social and healthcare services, an expanding network of 59 organisations in 32 European countries representing over 36.000 service providers and advocacy organisations. Eurodiaconia will bring expertise in social policy and its membership encompasses all target groups of the project.
During the 2014-2020 funding period, the European Social Fund (ESF) emerged as an essential instrument for Eurodiaconia members, addressing social inequalities through a variety of impactful projects. These initiatives, made feasible by the ESF, targeted marginalized groups, fostering their integration into the labour market through vocational training, job placement assistance, and skill-building workshops.
