What they argued
Etex welcomes the European Commissions work on the forthcoming Affordable Housing Act (AHA) as part of the wider European Affordable Housing Plan. We support the Commissions objective to help Member States and local authorities address housing stress by identifying the main bottlenecks to housing supply and by clarifying which measures may be justified and proportionate in the areas most affected.
We appreciate a more pro-active, harmonized and transparent market surveillance. We are active in several sectors, but predominantly the construction sector. Our positive experience in the maritime sector -in which we are also active- with full traceability from producer / factory via among others the shipyards to the vessels and vice versa seems to fucntion well and to full statisfaction of all stakeholders.
