As Europes largest early- and growth-stage mobility impact investor, we support startups through funding, pilots with cities, and skills development.
EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), working with over 250 cities, companies, universities, and research institutes to accelerate the transition towards more sustainable urban mobility. We empower start-ups and scale-ups through investment, pilot projects, training, and market expansion programmes.
Through this joint response, the KICs seek to shape a future EIT framework that builds on the demonstrated strengths and experience of the EIT and its KICs and further strengthens their con-tribution to Europe's innovation ecosystems. Firstly, the KICs' experience demonstrates the value of a model based on sustained ecosystem development.
Please find attached EIT Urban Mobilitys contribution to the public consultation on the draft Implementing Regulation for Urban Mobility Indicators under the revised TEN-T Regulation. Our feedback includes general remarks as well as specific comments on methodology, comparability, data governance, accessibility indicators and support needs for cities.
The EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities) welcome 2023 as the European Year of Skills. The EIT KICs appreciate the European Unions intention to invest and catalyse efforts in education and lifelong learning.
