The Railways and Transport Union (EVG) refuses to approve the heavy and excessive trucks in Europe for many reasons. The Commission aims to reduce emissions from road transport. However, the registration of heavy goods vehicles will not reduce climate pollution, but will even increase it. For example, the Green Deal’s objectives and the shift of the essential share of freight to rail are not being met.
