As a public health laboratory with ISO 15189 accreditation, we address the following issues, particularly with a focus on more rare infectious diseases, to fill laboratory gaps across the country or to support other diagnostic laboratories.

We support the objectives and actions for advanced materials (AdMas) but emphasise that their innovative character poses regulatory challenges for safety, sustainability, and circularity. Safety is insufficiently addressed in the Call for Evidence (CfE), while current regulation and test methods may not adequately assess AdMa safety and sustainability (S&S) to protect human health and the environment.
