All parts of the CCS value chain, capture, transport, and storage, must be covered under the proposed regulation, benefitting from faster administrative and permitting processes, etc. This approach can ensure a coordinated deployment of CCS, avoiding bottlenecks that could stand in the way of reaching the objective of 50 mtpa of CO2 operational injection capacity by 2030.
