The Wider Spectrum Group is a coalition of 10 European and 8 national organisations representing civil society as well as employee and employer representatives, and described below. The Wider Spectrum Group welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback to this call of evidence regarding the preparation by the Commission of an EU position to be adopted by the Council for WRC-23.
The common vision of the 20 European and national associations in the Wider Spectrum Group is that spectrum policy and the allocation of UHF spectrum play a strategic role for the European AV and cultural sector. A major decision to be discussed at WRC-27 is whether the agenda of the following WRC-31 will include a review on the spectrum band used for terrestrial broadcasting and audio wireless devices (PMSE), i.e.
