What they argued
The Advanced Materials Act will offer solutions for successful implementation of the European Green Deal, improving the environmental performance of products and processes. Therefore, we would like to highlight how paludiculture biomass applications could ensure cohesion between the Advanced Materials Act and other climate objectives, maximising co-benefits in achieving the targets of EU Climate Law and LULUCF.
Please find attached Wetlands International Europe's response to the Call for Evidence on the Water Resilience Research and Innovation Strategy. We define 4 priorities that we believe could make a significant contribution to Europe's long-term water resilience, climate adaptation and competitiveness.
We welcome the opportunity to share our feedback on the CAP simplification package. While we support genuine simplification and certain elements, we are deeply concerned about the environmental implications of the proposal. In particular, we highlight risks to GAEC 2, the weakening of conditionality, and the lack of a proper impact assessment.
