Counts here are a floor, never a total: they cover the 326 consultation files tracked so far (29,503 submissions, mostly 2025–26), so an organization's real filing history is larger, not smaller.
Who they are
Among the 1205 trade and business associations on this site, they rank #477 by legislative files engaged — a count of participation, not a measure of influence.

The VKS Verband der Kali- und Salzindustrie takes a critical view of the European Commission’s intention to keep salt within the scope of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 on organic production. From the point of view of the MCS, this leads to systematic inconsistencies.

VKS (Verband der Kali- und Salzindustrie e.V.) is the Association of the German Potash and Salt Industry. We welcome the revision of the regulation as an opportunity to remove salt (salt chloride) from the list of certified organic products. Salt is an inorganic mineral - it is not an organic or agricultural product.
VKS Verband der Kali- und Salzindustrie e.V. (German Potash and Salt Industry Association) submits the attached position paper on the revision of benchmark values for the free allocation of ETS allowances (20262030). Our member companies are directly affected by both fallback benchmarks heat and fuel.
As Potash and Salt Association (Verband der Kali- und Salzindustrie, VKS), we represent the interests of the German potash and salt producers. With 13,500 employees, the industry ranks among the worlds leading suppliers of potash and salt products. We welcome the European Commissions goal and effort to reduce administrative burdens and streamline processes.
