To launch and support a circular carbon economy, the Circular Economy Act (CEA) needs to support the development of recycling cascades that are discussed in the literature. Such cascades should focus on the best fit of technology to plastic types, e.g. on feed contaminant, product performance and overall yields, and overall efficiency of the system in terms of recovery, cost and footprint.
