I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute evidence to the European Commissions Call for Evidence on the Quality Jobs Act. This submission draws on our three-year programme of workplace research conducted by the University of South Wales in partnership with CBI Cymru, comprising 342 respondents in 2024, 249 in 2025 and 220 in 2026 (Thomas, Howard and Khan, 2024; 2025; Thomas, Khan and Howard, 2026).
