UiT the Arctic University of Norway welcomes the opportunity to provide evidence to the European Ocean Act initiative. Norway´s waters are situated from about 55 degrees N in the North Sea to 85 degrees N in the central Arctic Ocean and hence downstream from impacts from activities in the waters of EU member states. EU marine policies are therefore important to Norway, and as we all know, ecosystems have no borders.
