UFC-Que Choisir fully agrees with the problem that this initiative aims to address. For consumers to embrace the transition, the availability of battery electric vehicles on the second-hand market is crucial. In France, 75 % of consumers buy their cars on the second-hand market. They are excluded from the new market (regardless of the engine sought) and are highly dependent on the second hand market.
