UFC-Que Choisir fully agrees with the problem that this initiative aims to address. For consumers to embrace the transition, the availability of battery electric vehicles on the second-hand market is crucial. In France, 75 % of consumers buy their cars on the second-hand market. They are excluded from the new market (regardless of the engine sought) and are highly dependent on the second hand market.

The transport sector is responsible for more than 30 % of domestic greenhouse gas emissions in France. For more than a decade, the development of multimodal information and ticketing services has been presented as a solution to promote less carbon travel.
