We call for the widespread use of MMA at 44 tonnes in the EU as is the rule in several countries. The impossibility of crossing the border between France and Belgium at 44T is a counter-sense in legal, operational and environmental terms. Thinking that modal shift towards rail and inland waterways can be stimulated through such a measure is an error.
