DSM Article 3 and 4- We have been in favour of restrictions on text and data mining (TDU) and research at an early stage. We have focused on what is known as ‘text and data mining’, i.e. what we understand to have been a purpose of anaylating texts, sound recordings, etc. for various reasons. These may include optical surveys, analysis of old radio programmes, treatment of ethnic minorities on television.
