Welcomes the proposal for a Savings and Investment Union; The proposal addresses many relevant aspects as well as the need for a Capital Markets Union and the issue of banking union. Sweden has a tradition of channelling private savings into investments and thus a great deal of experience on the benefits and challenges of the system.

Summary For Sweden and the EU, it is of utmost importance that there is the possibility to provide operating aid to our airports. The General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER) is an effective basis for it, but the forms of aid need to be modernised and developed. In view of increased safety and availability requirements, smaller airports need a higher limit on when operating aid may be granted.
