Ragn-Sell has developed a technology that, by extracting calcium oxide from oil shale ash and combining it with carbon dioxide, can produce precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). The PCC can then be used to produce new products (flooring, paints, and other construction materials), products that today are produced primarily from mined limestone.
