Orthongel is of course in favour of improving the coherence, coordination and effectiveness of European ocean governance. This improvement must consider seafood production as a priority to support the viability and competitiveness of European fisheries and ensure the EU’s food sovereignty. It must build on the Common Fisheries Policy as the exclusive framework for fisheries management.
