Orange response to the Commissions Call for Evidence on the Digital Networks Act. Orange calls for a bold review of the telecoms framework to ensure it is fit for purpose to deliver a digital continent while strengthening European competitiveness and fostering investment in digital infrastructure.

The EU open-source sector benefits from growing developer community, strong public/academic/industrial foundations, and close alignment with EU values. Open-source is a key lever for digital sovereignty. Open-source delivers strategic independence, security, efficiency and innovation for public/private sectors.

Orange welcomes the opportunity to provide input in the context of the review of the Cyber Security Act. It is a timely review of both the mandate of ENISA and of the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework, allowing us to take stock and plan for the future.

Orange welcomes the EC consultation on the White Paper. We share its diagnosis and call on EU policy makers to adopt urgently the concrete measures necessary to restore growth and competitiveness of the telecoms sector, and to meet the Digital Decade targets to the benefit of EU end-users and businesses.

Orange response to the Inception Impact Assessment - DSA Package Ex ante regulatory instrument for large online platforms with significant network effects acting as gate-keepers. Orange welcomes the EC initiative to ensure that “large online platforms that benefit from significant network effects remain fair and contestable, in particular in situations where such platforms may act as gatekeepers”.

As a longstanding contributor to European and international standardisation, Orange remains committed to supporting innovation, interoperability, and competitiveness through its active participation in key bodies such as ETSI, 3GPP, and ITU.
