The European open source sector is incredibly diverse, and although it is dominated by small companies and just a handful of mid-caps, they have been able to create very competitive products with a global reach. What is clearly missing at the moment is a coordination mechanism for European open source vendors to increase their commercial collaboration and the mutual integration of their technologies.
